My eyelids flutter
Like thick curtains
As I cram another dream
Of heaven and beyond
To hide it
From the brutal circus
Of envious clowns
I hold my breath
Like I could hold the scent
Of earthy heathers
Scattered across a field
Like winter snow
Only colored
..Sublime..
I clutch my fists
To hold the soil
From the carved path
Between purple snow
I smile
Then stop
To hide my smile
To hide my heavenly dream
From this brutal circus
Or envious clowns..

Very deep and dark but the heavenly dream is hard to wake from. Very creative!

Very creative. Love the dark balanced with the light of the heather. Waking from a heavenly dream can be so rough 🙂

Some dreams are too easily crushed by cruelty.

Agreed. Dreams are too delicate that’s why they shouldn’t be revealed to everyone 🙂
