People I am in a concerning situation.
I come home at 7 PM. Have dinner and pass out wherever I am. LITERALLY.
Then I wake up somewhere between 12 to 2 AM and sleep again till 4 AM to 5 AM.
And then I have to wake up at 6:30 am, have breakfast, and get ready for work, my van comes at 8:15 am.
I’m not sleeping in a crazy broken pattern.
Every time I wake up I’m confused like I don’t know how and when I fall asleep, it’s scary in a comical way.
I’m like…”what era is this?” “where am i”
You wouldn’t believe me if I tell you I look at myself just to be sure I woke up in the same body and I’m not living some odd resurrection story
THURSDAY
It wasn’t a problem until yesterday I came home, had dinner and slept at 9 pm, and woke up at 12:20 am. Then I couldn’t sleep until 5 something am. Then my alarm rang at 6:30, I woke up my brother and went back to sleep…
Yea…
I actually went to sleep when I had to make breakfast and eat and get ready for work.
And I woke up accidentally at 8:12 am. My van comes at 8:15!!!
I had 3 minutes and all I could do in that was to slip into work attire, that too whatever I could grab. Let’s just say there was no rhythm in pieces of clothing head to toe, inside out…
But I wore a jacket as if it could make me invisible or something.
This is not normal.
I have a cousin’s wedding coming up, I have to study and work and I’m just frozen chicken all the time, physically and mentally.
Tonight i tried to stay up and only took a 30 mins nap at 9 pm and then woke up. It’s 3:15 am right now and I can’t sleep at all!!!
FRIDAY MORNING
I’m fucked!
I slept while getting ready,
I slept having breakfast
I slept in van
I slept in auditor’s room at client
In prayer room, on 2 prayer mats.
Fell asleep for a few seconds in waiting area at client.
I’m officially f***ed!
FRIDAY NIGHT
I dozed off on the couch in the living room at 9:00 pm
At 10 pm i heard my brother’s voice “go and sleep in your room” so that’s what i did.
Woke up at 5:30 am
Slept at 6:30 am woke up next day 1 pm…
So i slept for like 14 hours…
14 HOURS!!!!
Now it’s Saturday night 3:20 am and I’m writing this..
I don’t even have words anymore, like what’s going on…
…

this can’t be sleep apnea. i have seen how that works. but i have to get myself checked. i feel like it could be some deficiency.

last it was checked, it was fine. but you never know. will go to the doc on the weekend InshaAllah.

I feel for you – lack of sleep makes me dysfunctional.
I am presuming you have tried all the natural aids to sleep – lowering room temperature, milky drinks, no electronic devices, writing down any anxious thoughts….if necessary, ask the Pharmacy for a sleeping aid to get you back on track. Sleep deprivation has harmful effects physically, emotionally, mentally.
So if it continues, ask your GP for an appointment.
