Remember hope??
This is what it looks like now…
For people who don’t remember (or don’t know), when I moved here, I wanted to plant something, so that I can see something grow in front of me, like…new me, new life, new plants etc etc.
And as always my first options are herbs, mint being the easiest one… but guess not?!?!
I had mint seeds that I got from Dubai. If they could grow in Dubai, pretty sure they could grow probably on mars too (but guess not…)
The first idea was trying to germinate in a ziplock bag between damp tissues…failed flat…nothing sprouted out of those black little dots!
2nd idea was in this huge pot because mint grows like crazy and starts invading other plants.
But these seeds themselves were from mars.
A few days later, I saw these little leaves that got me so excited I named it hope.
And now, today, it has grown into this huge thing that looks nothing like mint, doesn’t smell anything like mint… and I obviously won’t try tasting it.
poor thing is going through an identity crisis of its own and it has the audacity to have a pretty white flower.
Reminds me of my teenage…wild and pretty (I’m lying about half of it)
Maybe it mistook its name to be dope… or just NOPE!
When it showed its first leaves my dad warned me it could be something wild.
He even went as far as to say this could be one of those plants that grow in a sewer. My feelings were hurt.
I never knew there were plants in sewer with pretty white flowers.
And how does dad know that???
Idk what am I going to do with it. Right now I don’t really have options other than just letting it grow into whatever it wants.
About options… I’m writing this on the way to work. I chose this work as an option. But I didn’t choose the office to be on the 4th floor, with elevator operating time starting an hour later than my work starting time.
So you have to hike this mini Everest all the way up. Every morning when you are fasting.
And the weather is very close to what going on Sun.
I don’t know what kind of intense pressure test I’m going through these days.
It’s physical, mental, emotional all at once.
I just hope something better comes out of it.
Not something that grows in a sewer.

A plant is still a plant wherever it grows. It’s growth gives us a feeling of new life, a new us or a continuation of our current self. Whatever it is, it makes us feel good. I’ve planted a few seeds a few weeks ago and seeing their little sprouts come up brings me so much joy. You take care of the plant like and at the same time you take care of yourself. At least that’s how I see it. I hope your “hope” continues to grow and give you peace and joy.

It looks like a proper flowering plant. With a name like hope, what else could it be but hopeful.

Just one of those days.
If you notch that ‘piece’ here and there a bit more, you might be able to turn it into a modern days fable.

Nice! no matter what comes up, it’s your baby flower/leaves/whatever.
Gardening gives hope as you see lives growing. Don’t give up! You will get better at gardening. My very good friend is a good gardener and I spoiled all the small plants from her last time. I still feel bad about that. Those baby plants were so hard to take care in strong wind. Haha… All the best 🧡

i actually wasnt too bad with plants. last year i grew mint, cherry tomatoes and alot of basil.
this year, this happened lol.
i will try again once i settle a little with my new job and routine.
baby plants are very delicate you have to cover them and punchture tiny holes in the cover. winds dry them out fast.
thank you 😊💖

Ic. That must be lovely.
Okay, keep trying. You can make it:)
Hmmm…., maybe I should find one day to try gardening too. The weather in Malaysia is different from your place, I think.
You’re most welcome 💖😊

I grew all of these in Dubai which is extrmely dry. In Pakistan whether and soil is good but i couldnt grow same plants here. I will try again after few months. Lookong up ideas already.
You can definitely do this. First do your homework. Look for plant that grow there easily. Just google everything. In the beginning its better to start seedlings indoor but somewhere you get light.
Or you can just start with a small to medium plant.
You got this!
