They say
When you gaze into an abyss
For long
It starts gazing into you
But I didn’t tell them
I know this gazing contest
I know my abyss
Like I know my skin
Every night
When the world
Plunges into silence
My abyss visits me
Like a dark angel
Dark and hollow
We stare at each other
For another eternity
Eyes are met
Tears are shed
And darkness is fed
To the darkness itself
Drop by drop
Before dawn
It flies back
Not to another valley
Not to another world
To its home
My heart
Pumping black ink
Not a ruby red fluid
That’s how it is
When you know
You are too dark for the world
To light for yourself
You take out the poison
From your veins
Every night
When the world
Plunges into silence
And inject it back.
Inspired by Friedrich Nietzsche Quote
“He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.”

Be careful gazing into Nietzsche like that. He’s interesting from a distance, but he’s one monster you don’t want to become!! 🙂

Notice I didn’t write inspired by Nietzsche, I was inspired by his quote and actually did like a few more. A friend told me he was controversial.
definitely not aspiring to be a monster 🙂

Hahaha. I actually find Nietzsche quite witty and quite quotable … but I was only half-kidding about the monster bit 🙂

Tough. True. Yet a matter of choice.
For you, me, all of us.
And our choice
impinges on others’.
Tough.
Unless we manage to keep our will, our soul desire, free to choose…

I try. I feel my whole life is just a struggle to somehow get that freedom to choose whatever I can. and life teaches you its not always possible.

This quote was just on a Netflix show I saw called The Dark. Unfortunately the show didn’t really keep my attention

Really ? Its on the dark ?
A friend mentioned a part of this quote then I looked it up since I really liked it.
It does make sense.

Ya I think it’s in the opening on Season 2. But I barely watched any of it. May be why the quote is trending, though!

It’s trending??
Well that friend read a lot so I thought he just knows it. He doesn’t watch anything on Netflix.

I can’t tell if it’s trending or if it’s just the same person that keeps using it (you) LOL

I really liked the simplicity here. It’s often in art that we can lose ourselves in a sea of ‘other things’ besides what we originally set out to communicate.

I don’t know who need to hear this but practice your Love languages on yourself.
Gifts:- I buy myself fresh flowers every week or buy yourself something you’ve always wanted.
Physical touch:- Love your body and take your time moisturizing your skin every morning.
Quality Time:- Take yourself out on a date. Pull out a journal and write a letter to your younger or future self. Meditate or do yoga.
Acts of Service:- Give yourself a break and do something nice for yourself or clean your room/get organized.
Words of Affirmation:- Say nice things to yourself like, “I am proud of you.” “You are doing your best.” “You are so beautiful.”
In other words don’t wait for someone else to offer you the love you want and deserve. Start being intentional and actionable about how you love yourself. It makes all the difference.
