2017 Art Favorites

29.06.2020

Sometimes you look back, you don’t believe where you started..

22.12.2017

I was checking gallery of my phone for 2017 Favorites and I saw pictures of my artwork/drawings/experiments/sketches.

I dipped my hands in charcoal graphite and soft pastels this year only.

The pictures could perfectly reflect the the phases and emotions or just boredom, I have been going through this year.

It’s like a timeline of feelings.

So, I thought why not share a little gallery of my experiments which were actually part of coping mechanism to help me survive this bumpy ride.

Without further ado lets hop on..

  1. All stunning!!!
Thanks for sharing .. as newbies to blogging hadn’t seen them and probably, realistically, won’t wcroll back far enough to see them when first posted!!

      1. it is okay to barter too of course, but your art is so full of emotion. Makes me wonder if all artists have a lot of anxieties and overwhelming emotions to come up with the stuff they create. It is amazing. The eye, is that a drawing or photo. I couldn’t tell. The rest were drawings so I assume it was but it looks very real. You could sell them. I think there is a way you can sell them from your blog. Either as prints or originals. You should look into it.

      2. Yea that eye is a drawing. I followed a tutorial for that and it came out very real. Overwhelmed me.

Umm. I will look into it. Thank you so much for advice. I was looking into framing and all. But didn’t about selling something. Will ask around.

Thank you so much it means alot 🙂

      3. you could sell that I bet if you wanted. I don’t know how an artist gets therir work seen. That eye is truly amazing. Maybe try selling a print first. Lots of things to consider I guess like having an artist portfolio. And only if you are in the frame of mind to do it. Don’t let it stress you out at all.

      4. I started it just to deal with my situation so i didn’t focus on the other aspects. The smaller soft pastels i have are form dollar store. And some of the work is on paper or cardsheet. I am looking for ways to increase the durability of the piece.

Fixatives ruin the piece i tried that too.
I will look into it more seriously now.

        Thanks for supporting 🙂

      5. And i cannot explain how it helped me.
I sorf of drained my anxiety through art and writing.
Sometimes i dont believe i wrote this much in 1 year. And so much was happening already. Its been a chaotic year.

        This blog overall balanced everything.

I read you struggle with anxiety what do u do for it?

      6. I almost missed this comment. My anxiety started over 50 uears ago, my mental breakdown happened about 30 years ago. I am on life long medication for the chemical imbalance now but for anxiety I have been practising the positive thinking for the past 15 years. I have changed the way I think. It takes a lot work but it’s worth it. I am starting a weekly sunday post about positive thinking starting this sunday. There is a technique that used to get it working for me.

    1. I don’t know. even in my student life whenever I would doodle it was always eyes or dragons.

I do have eyes-related autoimmune but this happened few years back only. and I have been drawing them since forever.

I got this question a lot. I am looking for answer too 🙂
