I stumbled upon a photography challenge here, with doors as subject for the week and I remembered I had something worth sharing.
Last year, in pre-covid era I went to Oman on a short trip.
It was an impulsive plan so we figured out the whole trip on the road. It was my millionth trip there so I was desperately looking for something different to explore.
And found Misfat Al Abryeen, a mountain village.
It’s a small village that looks like carved in mountain. They have done the best to retain its original form, I will be writing about the whole place some time later but right now we are here for the doors they had.
Imbedded in the moziac of yellow and browns, these doors looked striking, more like contemporary art on a stone wall.
Interesting, isn’t it??

Google says it’s 400 years old. They take strict measure not to modernize it.
Thanks 🙂
