Paperback Journey Updates

Around this time last year I self-published e-book version of my debut poetry collection on Amazon and it performed way better than my expectations, thanks to you all of you for that.

I had a few plans for Swinging Sanity, like publishing on different websites. And a paperback version but then I got busy.

Now I have little bit of time so I went back to check where were we the last time.

Mailing List

People of WordPress, thanks a lot for allowing me to add you all to my mailing list. I have a very small one and I have only used it once (as I promised I won’t be bothering you unless I have to).

So, If any of you want me to add you on my mailing list please feel free to drop your email address in the comment section below. I will also post a more relevant post soon.

Metadata

Gosh! This part took my months of research but it’s worth it. Trust me guys. If you have got your metadata on fleek, it takes 1 or 2 sales to catapult your book in top 5 of at least 3 categories!

Social Media Marketing

This depends on your personal preferences. I personally found out social media followers hardly buy your book. You might have different experience. So I won’t be investing a huge portions of my energies here.

Editing

Read your manuscript a million times and you will still manage to find something you don’t like. We are done with this part and I realized I was using 1 shade of red at 4 or 5 places. There is always space for improvement but I won’t touch it anymore.

Need to adjust artwork tho.

Formatting

Now this is where I’m. It looks complicated but KDP has made it tons easier. Will be following the website and I found another link that might be helpful. Won’t be going through 50 difference sources.

Cover

Art work is same. There’s template for the rest on KDP website. Haven’t looked at it yet.

So..

That’s where we stand atm. let’s see how it goes.
