Retaining my mental balance..

When you work in a multi-cultural environment your office looks like a funny cross between the office and mind your language.

I just realized one Arab co-worker can understand and actually speak in my native language too (Urdu)… imagine when this bomb drops on you days after you have been using your native language as a code language..

I need to come up with better codes. (f I remember)

Well moving on..

Yesterday was a wierd day.

Me convo with Sam went something like this:

Me: I want to eat noodles

I want to slap Zazu

I want to push someone from Burj Khalifa

I want to gossip

I want to sleep!!

Sam: you need to blog. That balances you.

Makes sense!

Let me explain…

Since past 2 3 days, things started slipping out of my hands. Literally!

I was losing grip. Again literally

How do I explain something so simple in literal sense?

I don’t know but I dropped a bowl of marinated chicken. Thank god it was a plastic bowl (I normally don’t use plastic bowl for marinating especially, but I just moved so I couldn’t find the glass bowl in the rubble.

Oh. I moved again!

Did I mention it before? Well, where were we?

Too many topics to cover.

So that plastic bowl dropped straight on the floor. The contents didn’t spill…but splashed!!..all over my clothes wall and floor!

Silver lining?? Pieces of chicken managed to stay in the bowl so I picked up the bowl, changed my clothes and clean the whole area that felt like cleaning a street, as I wiped my tears..

So I was telling something was wrong with my hands. Then I thought I realized I’m dehydrated and week both and I was seriously lacking vitamin W (WordPress)

So, I came here to open the vents and let a little light enter this zone that I quarantined for last 2 months.

Guys! Working hard is good.

Work wise everything is going great but losing balance can have serious implications.

Yesterday I spend the day to sort of regain my mental footing.

I always fear my bosses could read my blog but I don’t think they will and i don’t think it should be an issue.

Give yourself some space. Some air to breathe.

Have your comfort food. Talk to people you love and who love you back.

People who really care and who stood by u.

I have no shame in admitting we need a close, compassionate social circle to survive.

I need people to lean on, it’s a very human thing.

Well.

That’s all for now!

Take care of yourselves!

And this is my favourite gif these day..

  1. And a big “Atta-girl!” Miss you dear friend, but I’m glad the job is working out so well! I bet you had one of those “oh my gosh I hope I didn’t say anything bad,” moments when you realized the one guy could understand you. Ha… A good laugh is always good for you too! All the best!

      1. Well, the book is not really selling, but that’s okay! I haven’t really pushed it. I will be attending a writer’s course in a few weeks, and I think I will get some good advice on promoting. ;-)))

  2. I have a son who is large and blonde. He is absolutely fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and Korean. This has provided us with some very amusing situations when other people have made assumptions about the privacy of their personal conversations.

    1. Lol I can imagine. I think you have mentioned him before too and about language. I dotn think I can learn a single word besides 2 basic languages I already know. It must be fun.
I was thinking that colleague of mine could be a good spy.

  3. My bosses…if I ever get one… won’t know about my blog. My family doesn’t. Some things need to remain private.
