Julie & Julia

I desperately needed a reset button

2 days back my immune system crushed under boulder of exhaustion. And so did all the motivation and strength I had been accumulating.

It was bad. It was ugly. It was silent.

I needed a break from everything so thought a movie would be great idea.

And I ended up choosing Julie and Julia.

First of all, exceptional performance by Meryl Streep! AGAIN!!

But the voice!!

How did she even do that?

A lovely movie.

The lightness of this movie will seep right into to you and calm you down. At least that’s what it did for me.

You know what’s the best part? It’s such an honest movie.

It’s about lives of two women, one being Julia Child. And the other one Julie, a modern day woman struggle through life who idolizes Julia Child and starts a project on her recipes on her blog.

Hope I haven’t spoilt the movie too much for you.

It’s about food, relationships and life.

It’s about two separate journeys in different times and you will find both relatable.

Ladies..you have to watch it!!

And foodies, it’s double delight for you guys!

I love everything about this movie and yet it’s hard to comment on any part of it.

At the time when I was afraid to waste 5 minutes of my life, these 2 hours felt like an investment in myself.

Do watch it guys 😊

      1. Ha! Beat you to it! Its pouring cats & dogs so naturally the satellite went out so I grabbed a bag of chips, a drink and Its on as we speak! I love that she said about her beginning blog…
“The truth is, no one knows about me.
I feel like I’m just sending things
into this giant void.” Haven’t we all felt just like that starting our own blogs?
