I’m fine! OctPoWriMo 2018 Day-4

I swear by the chill
That just crawled down my spine

I am trembling with rage inside
And yet I keep saying I’m fine

How long will I have to lie
I secretly hide and cry by the ravine

Then you tell me I am strong
And detach yourself from miseries of mine

You heard my voice crack
You saw that tear burn

But..

With your poster perfect life
My misfortune could never align

I was a round peg shoved into square hole
I never belonged to this bloodline

I am tired of your redundant hypocrisy
Your fake promises are losing their shine

Sands of time don’t heal wounded hearts
They’re festering dark wounds, not fine wine

Eyes tell the truth, ask them instead
People lie when they say “i’m fine”..
