Under the God’s Spotlight

In the mysterious light of the fortnight sky

She kept her shovel busy

Digging deeper into the cold damp earth

Winds playing with her messy hair

Her hands hurting against the rough old wood

She stopped..

Breathed hard..

And looked into the grave she burrowed using all her might

She pulled out the ring from her pocket

And gave it one final look

The stone shone to its zenith

Reflecting the rays from God’s massive spotlight

Begging her to think for one last time..

Her vacant eyes studied it

Wondering maybe her heartbeat would fluctuate

But her heart was a wrecked ship

Laying lifeless on the floor of spiteful ocean

Still and stagnant..

Her face as expressionless as a mannequin

She drop the ring and filled the grave with hatred

Patted it even firmly

Got up and ran

As fast as she could

Knifing the air

Leaving a trail of her bare feet

That she will never see again…

  1. First of all great post.. I mean it.. But what caught my eye was the last line.. She never.. Hmm.. But how can it be possible.. The other person will be around.. So memories (trail of bare feet) will rekindle.. So shouldn’t the last line include hope.. As in.. That she hope, will never be seen again.. Again you can totally trash this comment.. No hard feelings..

    1. Ahaha no no. I wont trash this comment. Its has nothing to trash. Its your take on the subject and i appriciate you shared it.

Its just that there are times when you are done with something and you know you wont go back.

Maybe she will a new direction for herself.
