For past two days I was kinda ashamed of myself for not having a single artifact that could represent my cultural Heritage.
Then I realized it was there all along. I just couldn’t see it as I always have been treating it as an essential piece of clothing during winters.
My dad got this Kashmiri Pashmina Shawl for me from Islamabad (Pakistan).
It’s warm it’s comfortable and it feels home.
The picture does no justice to its ornate pattern.
Even in summers (that are very long here), it stays in my wardrobe to fuel my nostalgia.

I love the shawl, and the image, and realize I have a lot of shawls that probably street rip offs of the real thing. And thanks for the lovely flowers too. You are doing your recognition of heritage, roots and beauty!
