The Pursuit of Happyness

I read today’s word prompt; Pursue, and the movie The Pursuit of Happiness barged into my mind and refused to leave.

This is one of my all time favorite tearjerker. You will be needing tones of tissues to watch it no matter how strong you think you are, you might end up crying like a baby.

Remarkable performance by Will Smith!

It’s based on a chunk from Chris Gardner’s life when he was constantly facing failures and disappointments but he didn’t stop fighting.

The extent to which a simple man can go for his survival and his loved-ones; in this case his son.

It shows when you put your heart soul and every drop of energy in the right direction you will get where you want to be eventually.

It will take insane devotion and painful sacrifices … and happyness will follow.

who can forget this scene

On a lighter note:- If I start running the way Will Smith ran in this movie I will look like a Victoria’s Secret model within months… After plastic surgery of course!

  1. Tough times don’t last but tough people do. Failures and disappointments should not stop us from reaching our goals. They are hurdles we have to cross to make it to the end of the race.

  2. I love that movie so much, I don’t think I could handle watching it ever again. It’s so poignant, heart wrenching, and memorable. I was exhausted by the end of the movie from a two hour bawlfest. 😬

  3. Such a great movie. And the quote you posted at the top is actually one of my favorite quotes and in a nutshell something I teach to my kids!
